Education & Experience

I have a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA.  Prior to this, I graduated from the University of Washington with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in the state of WA, working towards my full licensure as an LMHC.

My counseling and ministry experience primarily consists of work with teens and young adults.  I have worked in a variety of settings, providing both short-term and long-term counseling to at-risk youth and college students.  I also have experience working in a foreign mission field, which has given me a unique perspective on how Christ’s gospel can be effectively applied to a wide range of counseling issues.

Areas of Focus

I have experience working with topics including anxiety, depression, addiction, self-harm, grief/loss, social skills, emotional intelligence, family relationships, marital issues, and life transitions.

One of my greatest passions is helping others work through issues or questions relating to their faith and relationship with God.  Whether you are a Christian wrestling with a crisis in your faith or someone who is curious about how God might be wanting to work in your life, I would love to sit down with you and look into God’s word together.

If you are unsure if I can help with your current counseling needs, don’t hesitate to contact me!  I’d love to chat via email or phone to see if I can help.

About Me

I’ve been married to my wife Caitlyn since 2019, and we’re both avid lovers of all things Pacific Northwest.  When we’re not hiking on the weekends or exploring Puget Sound, I try to find time to play pickup soccer or find new favorite restaurants near our home in Woodinville.

As a counselor, I am always excited to meet new clients and work with them through any issues they may be facing.  My counseling style is very relational and welcoming, because I believe effective counseling best happens within a trusting and secure relationship.  My desire is to meet you where you currently are, no matter the circumstances, and help you find steps that will lead you to health, hope, and joy.
