MA LMFTA

Chris Chang

I find deep meaning in creating space for those navigating relational conflict, spiritual crisis, and the heavy weight of depression or grief. I offer a warm, calm, and compassionate presence—not to fix or rush your process, but to walk with you through the darkness with gentleness, honesty, and hope. I believe healing comes from learning to live truthfully with pain and struggle, by making room for the parts of your story that may feel too heavy, too confusing, or too painful to name.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

I have a BA in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. I also hold a Master of Divinity from Regent College (Vancouver, B.C.). I am currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A) in the state of Washington.

AREAS OF FOCUS

Most of my experience has been working with couples and families who are experiencing relational conflict. I also work with individuals who have suffered major loss and grief. Most of my experience comes from personal experience such as being a parent of a child with special needs, a former pastor and working with issues of faith, and cultural identity.

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and a relational approach to help clients better understand themselves and their patterns. Together, we’ll explore the emotional roots of your struggles and work toward creating stronger, more authentic connections. We might explore how early dynamics impact you or how disconnection in your closest relationships leaves you feeling hurt, afraid, and alone. If you're longing for deeper connection—with yourself, your partner, or your family—and you're ready to do the work in a space that feels safe and real, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

ABOUT ME

I'm a husband and father of two. In my free time, you'll usually find me at a local coffee shop enjoying a great pour-over, searching for the next delicious bite to eat, or hacking away on the golf course.
