Faith-Integrated (Christian) Counseling
At New Ground Counseling, we offer mental health counseling that can thoughtfully integrate Christian faith and spirituality—when you want it to. Our therapists are clinically trained and use evidence-based approaches, while also making room for prayer, Scripture, values, and faith-based practices as client-led elements in the work.
Who this is for?
Faith-integrated counseling may be a good fit if you want therapy that respects your Christian worldview and/or helps you:
Work through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or burnout
Strengthen relationships, marriage, or family dynamics
Navigate faith transitions, doubt, or spiritual pain
Build healthy boundaries and habits aligned with your values
Address shame, perfectionism, or “I should be better” pressure
How we integrate faith (client-led)
Faith integration is always optional. Depending on your preferences, sessions may include:
Exploring how faith, identity, and values shape your choices
Working with spiritual practices that support healing (e.g., prayer, reflection)
Addressing spiritual distress or church-related wounds with care
Aligning goals with both emotional health and spiritual formation
What you can expect

Although it is true that each of our counselors have Christian commitments, we see many non-religious clients and follow the lead of each individual (as to whether they want religious ideas/practices to be a part of the counseling process). For some clients, spirituality is a big part of their counseling, and others not at all. We understand spiritual decisions like this to be highly personal. We also believe that some people need spirituality to stay out of counseling for them to heal.
