LMHCA

Kelsey Gutwein

I believe that in great moments of challenge we can find our greatest moments of change, and I know that God will walk with us through it all. My goal in therapy is to first and foremost give you the space to come as you are and have the space to be heard, as we also remain open to hearing from the Holy Spirit. I am passionate about helping people find healing, become empowered and to walk through and overcome those things that are creating chaos in life.

I want to know about who you are, what speaks to you and find a way to personalize therapy for you. I do this through using an eclectic and creative approach, based on where you are and what your goals are for therapy. We are uniquely shaped by our journey in life including trials and perseverance but also by our passions, interests, and outlooks.

You are more than what you have gone through or what may have happened to you. My goal is for each of my clients to discover and live out who God has created them to be and to find hope, healing and freedom even in the valleys or wilderness. I believe that no season is lost or insignificant.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

I received my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA in 2023.I received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA in 2011.

I have over 10 years working with youth, adults and families in church settings, the criminal justice system, rehabilitation centers and within schools. I completed my internship at the YMCA Social Impact Center, meeting with kids aged 6 through adults.

ABOUT ME

I am a mom to two wonderfully joyous, bold, playful, and loving kids. We are actively involved in serving at our church and doing life with our community there. I also have a boisterous golden doodle named Teddy! I enjoy getting outside and exploring the beautiful PNW, camping, hiking or hanging out by the water. Physical activity to me is especially important in remaining grounded and de-stressing. I also love to experience new cultures, whether it by through food or travel!
