Rachel Hanson
Compassion. Encouragement. Grace. Hospitality.
These are the foundational elements that I strive to provide for each of my clients as they journey toward authentic hope and healing. As you seek professional counseling services for your child, I would be honored to collaborate with you and your child, walking alongside you both as you find your path toward peace. Through creative and play-based therapy models, including canine assisted therapy interventions, I guide children and families through the process of navigating challenging life seasons, exploring complex emotions, building resilience through resourceful coping skills, and restoring relationships.
While our world is filled with imperfections and our lives carry stories that we wish we could rewrite, God gives us an amazing opportunity to experience true love and life to the fullest, when we surrender our story to God’s faithfulness, and allow the divine creator of the universe to be the author of our lives. Your story is not over, and God’s purpose for your life and the life of your child is greater than you can imagine.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Over the last 15 years, I have had the opportunity to serve children from infants to 12-year-olds and their families within various volunteer and professional roles, serving within churches, non-profit organizations, and school settings. Most recently, I had the honor to partner with multiple other therapists to develop a Newborn through Fifth Grade Early Relational Health program, which provided counseling services and other resources to children and their families living within the Central Washington region, who otherwise would not have access to therapy services. I graduated from Northwest University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree during 2025.

ABOUT ME
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends by going for long walks, reading devotionals, sipping coffee, eating ice cream, or driving scenic routes. Also, I enjoy pursuing various hobbies such as singing, writing, reading, arts & crafts, baking, learning to play piano, hiking, running, skiing, raising Labrador Retriever puppies, and taking my Labradors on volunteer therapy dog visits to different locations such as nursing homes, schools, hospitals, libraries, etc. I look forward to meeting you and walking with you on your journey!
