I am so happy you are considering beginning or continuing your counseling journey. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where young people feel heard, understood, and empowered to express themselves. Utilizing mindfulness, trauma-informed, and family system perspectives, I will work collaboratively with you to build healthy coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen communication, and develop confidence in yourself and your relationships. When working with younger children, I value incorporating play-based interventions to help them communicate, process emotions, and develop new skills in ways that are developmentally appropriate and engaging.

I believe every person has unique strengths, and I take a collaborative, individualized approach to therapy that meets each client where they are. I value working closely with families when appropriate, recognizing that meaningful growth often happens through partnership and support. My goal is to help young people better understand themselves, navigate life's challenges with resilience, and develop the tools they need for lasting emotional well-being.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University. Prior to this, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in both English and Journalism at Western Washington University. I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington State and am working towards full licensure (LMHC).

My experience is primarily in work with children and adolescents with a wide variety of presenting problems, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and more. I work from evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy.

Before I began working as a Mental Health Counselor, I worked in various areas of child and teen development, such as summer and after-school programs, volleyball coaching, and in schools as a substitute teacher. These roles have given me a unique look into many of the areas of young people’s lives that can create hardship, as well as what can serve as protective factors and contribute towards healing.

ABOUT ME

I have always dreamed of working in a career that has a positive impact on people’s lives, and I am so grateful that I have found that in the field of counseling. I strive to create the safe and healing space for young people that I needed when I was their age.

Outside of the counseling office, I enjoy spending time with friends, family, and my dog, Gus. My own methods of self-care include relaxing with a good book, engaging in artistic activities such as writing and coloring, moving my body in pilates classes or on the volleyball court, and adventuring in the world around me.
