New Ground Counseling Now Accepts Premera Blue Cross
We’re excited to share an important update: New Ground Counseling is now accepting Premera Blue Cross insurance for therapy services.
For many years, most of our clients have chosen to pay privately for counseling. While we will continue offering that option, we are glad to now provide in-network therapy options for clients with Premera Blue Cross plans.
This change allows more individuals, couples, and families to access professional counseling services with the support of their insurance benefits.
What This Means for Clients
If you have Premera Blue Cross, you may now be able to use your insurance benefits for therapy sessions with select clinicians at New Ground Counseling.
Because insurance billing involves additional administrative processes, a limited number of Premera client openings are available with clinicians who are credentialed with Premera.

For Clients Using Other Insurance Plans
Most of our clients still choose to pay for sessions directly and use out-of-network benefits for reimbursement through a superbill. This option remains available for clients whose insurance plans we are not in network with.
“How can I tell if my therapy can be covered by my insurance?”
To confirm whether New Ground Counseling is in-network with your plan, we recommend contacting your insurance provider and asking: “Is New Ground Counseling in-network with my plan?”

Currently, we are only in network with the Blue Cross Blue Shield network, but there are many different Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans and affiliates (so it’s possible your insurance is included). Whether your sessions are covered depends on the specific plan you have.
